"I have seen landscapes...which, under a particular light,
made me feel that at any moment a giant might raise his head over the next
ridge. Nature has that in her which compels us to invent giants: and
only giants will do."

of dead material into something spiritual.

I was looking at Charles Vess's web site and these were two quotes they had, I think both of them are really very insightful and i love both of them.
Actual I have chosen to do the Charles Vess painting I put up earlier.
Magic Words
In the earliest time,
when both people and animals lived on the earth,
a person could become an animal if he wanted to
and an animal could become a human being.
Sometimes they were people
and sometimes animals
and there was no difference.
All spoke the same language.
That was the time when words were like magic.
The human mind had mysterious powers.
A word spoken by chance
might have strange consequences.
It would suddenly come alive
and what people wanted to happen could happen--
all you had to do was to say it.
Nobody can explain this:
That's the way it was.

also of his site they had this and it totally "speaks" to me.
Sari, go with the piece that speaks to you the most. I find the Charles Vess piece powerful. I think it is an excellent choice. I am also drawn to the quotes that you found on his site. I have enjoyed reading your thought processes thus far in the project.
